Breathers act as an inlet to your vehicle’s crankcase. They help prevent contaminants from entering the air filter.

What are Breathers?

Breathers are the other half of a crankcase emission system. A breather filter cleans the air that is drawn to the crankcase and later let out by the PCV valve.

How do Breathers Work?

Breather filters usually are contained in a slot or small box that connects to the air box then to crankcase. They clean the air that travels through it.

How are Breathers Made?

Most breathers are a block or square of media material that is cut or formed.

Why do Breathers Fail?
