Rated 5 out of 5 by Jesse Excellent daily driveability and light track day tire
I bought these for my 1990 300zx twin turbo over a year ago and they have proven to be an excellent all around tire. I take my car to regular SCCA and club autocross events and the tires have more than proven their worth. They've held up to daily driving in all conditions, rain, ice/snow, and have excellent dry grip for a tire that last as long as they do. I finally found their limits at a road-race event at Road Atlanta. They have a very wide heat range, only getting too hot after multiple hard laps around the track. Great tire for weekend warrior, daily driven cars.

Great tires for spring/summer performance. Doesn't matter if the surface is dry or slick with summer rain, these tires keep you on track, even under hard driving.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Marine1 Tires too Noisy
Size: 245/45ZR17, ZR rated Y speed rated. Took the first drive on them, there was a horrendous drone noise over all speeds. Excessive harmonics at 50 – 55mph, and again at 70-75 mph; so loud it’s difficult to hear the radio. Tire needs redesign. Harsh ride due to thicker sidewalls and reinforce bead buildup (creating low tire compliance). Source of noise: Tread shoulder too wide, sipes and grooves on shoulder too wide and rounded, shoulder blocking grooves are normal to the direction of travel leading to tread blocks slapping the pavement. Resolve this noise by angling shoulder grooving between tread blocks. Overall Poor tire due to noise.

Always been a Michelin fan. VERY disappointed!. These were on my car when I bought it. Factory 18" rims. 245/45ZR18, with 12,000 miles. When I test drove the car I noticed they were noisy and I knew I would be replacing them. But, man are they NOISY! Alignment was done at the dealer at installation. Service history shows proper rotation schedule. The dealer had 40 PSI in them (why?). I corrected the pressure to 33 PSI and it helped. I will say that they have good dry and wet traction. My '03 4Runner Limited with Michelin LTX is MUCH quieter. I will be glad to see them go, and will replace them with a quieter all season touring tire.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Chuck Poor durability
I bought a set of A/S 3 less than a year ago. After only 15K miles these tires are bald. I've always had good results with Michelin but the A/S 3 might be the worst tires I've even owned in 50 years of driving.

One of the best tyre indeed, but cost is prohibitive

Rated 2 out of 5 by Jim Poor wear.
I purchased 4 tires ( pilot sport a/s ) and currently have less than 20k on them. Though I'm happy with the traction the tread life is extremely poor. The wife drives very passively and was able to wear them down to the bone. The warranty was not honored because the tires were only rotated once.

Rated 3 out of 5 by tigrr49 Vastly inferior tire compared to Pilot Sport A/S Plus
The Pilot Sport A/S Plus tires previously on my car offered incredibly traction even in packed snow. They did suffer from unusual wear though and for that reason I decided to try the A/S 3 tire. However, shame on Michelin for introducing new Ultra-High Performance tires that go backwards in terms of traction by a fair margin. The tires perform worse than the A/S Plus even in dry/wet conditions and pretty poorly in snow conditions. Yes, overall they are better than typical All-Season tires but I would go back to the A/S Plus tires in a heartbeat.
