Rated 4 out of 5 by badbowtie Great Tire so far
Had Goodyear's to start off on My Jeep, then got some AT KO's. Loved these. Had 80,00+ before I had to get new. Had around 60,000 on my Durango, had a massive flat that ruined the tire. Look for new ones and the one dealer suggested the Rugged Terrains. Tire looks great less road noise the the AT's and ride is good so far. Seem to be a little squishy, but bumped up the air pressure and seemed better. Works well so far, good in the wet, can't wait for the snow to see how they work. Hope they work as well as they look.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SUVJeepie Now my SUV feels better
I was looking for a much better tire than the stock on my 2011 Jeep GC. The rep for Michelin suggested that I wait until the BF Goodrich Rugged Terrain T/A is released in late Spring. I finally picked my set up in June and boy that was best advice I got. I can report so far the following after 2 months of use: I have not lost any any MPG. The ride is smoother than I anticipated as if it was a luxury touring tire. Moreover, in wet conditions, the traction holds the road with authority and I am far more comfortable than before. In light off-road conditions on gravel roads, lite mud and wet conditions it has been impressive (Cannot report yet on other off-road conditions). A little noisy on the highway, but, not that bad that after while you forget about it. Finally, I can not wait for the winter to see how the tire performs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by n8mni Great looking, and smoother ride
I replaced the Firestone factory tires in my 2005 Chevy Tahoe 4x4 with the BF Goodrich Rugged Terrain TA in 265-70-16. I was surprised but the ride. It is a lot smoother than the old tires. Beefier looking tires with sidewall bite.

My 07 Ford F150 SuperCrew Lariat 4x4 came equipped with the Rugged Trail T/A. I wanted a tire that had a more aggressive tread, but not as aggressive as All Terrain T/A. This Rugged Terrain T/A was the answer. The pictures on the internet do not do this tire justice. You have to see it yourself. Had a set installed before a trip to Winchester, Va. Driving on Interstate 81 running 75-78 mph and the truck felt like it was on rails. Slightly more road noise from this tire, but my wife made the comment that the truck rode as smooth as her 08 Accord V-6 EXL. No doubt that these tires will handle the winter driving in Virginia. Also with these being Load E rated, if I pull a trailer or haul a heavy load, I know all I have to do is raise the PSI in the tires. Way to go with this new tire BF Goodrich!

Very soft tire.. if you're rough on them, they will not last long. They did grip well in the "mountains" of Pennsylvania, but bottom line is that they didn't last as long as i would've liked them to.

Rated 1 out of 5 by DISSATIFIEDcustomer These tires are horrible.
These tires are called Rugged terrain, but the nobbies are falling off after two months of driving (7000miles)on dirt roads in AZ. I would be embarrassed to sell this product. The ride is terrible. Poor gas mileage. BFG needs to go back to the drawing board on these pieces.

I live in MN, work in the oilfield in Western ND. I put a lot of miles on my trucks though out the year. I really like how well these tires are holding up. Great traction on the backroads in oil country and great, quiet drive on interstate.

Great tire, excellent design and function. Top notch design, get into the wet grass and mud with ease, but still maintains a smooth highway ride. Toss the family in the vehicle, go fishing, and look good doing so.
