My family was taking a vacation that requires additional luggage space. This carrier was perfect. Although we did not expect any significant weather, we ended up driving though snow and rain. The carrier kept everything dry as promised. My only issues are the following: I wish the securing straps were a little longer. I felt like they could slip out of the strap locks, but they never did. Additionally, the carrier material becomes less flexible in cold weather. Otherwise, it was perfect for our needs.

Bought it for a trip to Georgia and placed it on the roof of my Honda Odessy. It say's on the box waterproof, well it is not! When we arrived to our destination or suit cases were wet on the bottom of them were the cargo carrier made contact with the roof of the van. This was very inconviniant due to this was a vacation and were we were there were no laundry mats near by. Also the tied down straps are to short.

the roof container seemed of good quality...it was easy to attach to the roof of our mini-van which has a roof rack....it was plenty big enough...we did drive through rain and it seemed to keep things dry...the price was reasonable...negative: the stitching on one of the straps came loohings too muchse but doesn't seem to affect t
