by JBC10 Looks Great! Like Factory Finish!
I used VHT Epoxy "Satin" throughout my engine bay on my C10. Make sure you apply several light coats with at least 10 min. wait between coats. I even painted my hood hinge spring over 1 year ago, so far absolutely no cracks or separation of the paint. Also, the best looking & durable satin finish! Other brands just look too glossy, or too flat that leaves scratches on the finish. Well worth the $8.00 a can!

Rated 5 out of 5 by TBird Easy to use, good coverage, no primer needed
The title about sums it up. I am using this paint to restore a 1962 Ford Thunderbird. Nearly every part on the car is semi-gloss black. Although this is a bit duller than semi-gloss, I use it mostly on chassis parts and other under car parts. I don't use primer as I am sandblasting the parts and then paint them immediately afterward. As with any paint work, the key to a good job is in the preparation. The paint covers well and is very run resistant. Start out light and use multiple coats. Dry time is fast so you can re-coat after about 10 minutes. I hang my parts from wires and let them dry for 12 or more hours before handling them. The paint is also very durable.

I used it to coat the inside of the chute on my snowblower and it reduced snow stickage and stone chips.
