Rated 5 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Was very pleased I was refinishing the gelcoat on a boat. I gave it a slight wet sanding and then buffed. I started buffing with the 3M super duty compound which as stated is fairly coarse. After making several passes with that, I then switched to this compound which is finer which will then lead to less swirl marks. A couple of passes with this compound leaves an impressive gloss; however, when looking at the right angel there are swirl marks. I then switched from the white wool compounding pad, to a synthetic yellow polishing pad. I used the 3M Finesse-It II finishing material. Someone with a lightly oxidized boat should only need this and the Finishing Material. May 30, 2015
