Rated 3 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by not so good Bought the 1 million candlepower one first to replace one from seven or eight years ago. It was DOA. Bought the 2.5 million one next. It holds a charge to run the big light for five minutes total. They used to have two switches on them. One for the small LED and one for the big light. Now there is one switch that you have to click through to get to which lamp you want burning. I am returning the second one. August 13, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by GREAT PRODUCT.. It's bulky. December 23, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Won't hold Charge Long Overall, nice looking heavy light, but it won't hold a charge very long. Another issue is no D/C Adapter like earlier models. This light is used at night on the job. I'll be returning mine. July 23, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by lasted for a year plus! Have owned two of these peak lights in the last four years. they are pretty good, lasted each for about a year and a half..good for night security light when checking the property, etc. they typically drop about 5 bucks in price around xmas time at pep boys. Rated 4 out of 5 by Powerful! I am liking this product, but suggest that Peak add a trigger guard. If it is accidentally bumped and the halogen light is turned on, it can get very hot and become a fire hazard. I carried mine in a bag and tossed a nylon vest in - and turned it on. I smelled a hot smell and realized it was on. Since it was in the daytime, I hadn't noticed it immediately. Also, the handle could be longer. I have average size hands (male) and it's barely large enough for me. However, if it had a trigger guard I could rest my index finger there and it would fit me just fine. Finally, I chose the 2.5 million candle power over the 1 million because it cost just a little more. If you don't need the extra power of the 2.5, the 1 may suit you better - it should weigh less and be easier to carry. Per the descriptions here, the 2.5 model provides 400 lumens whereas the 1 model provides 320 lumens. Doesn't sound like much difference, but I haven't tried the 1. Mine lights things up for an amazing distance - longer than a car's high beams! (Keep in mind this is a spotlight whereas headlights are more like flood lights.) And the led map light is a great feature. When it's very dark and you just need a path illuminated, it fits the bill. And uses very little energy. I did not attempt to verify operational time, but note that it is just 25 minutes when the halogen is used continuously. That doesn't sound like much, but I used mine for two 8-hour shifts sporadically. February 2, 2013
