Rated 5 out of 5 by Worked great on my subaru sti I needed to remove my aftermarket springs and install new struts, it took some figuring to position it just right but it worked like a charm when it was all said and done. This was my first time using these things so I was a rookie and got it done . September 30, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works very well Needed strut spring compressors to install new struts, Pep Boys filled the need. September 19, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works Great compressed the springs on my wrangler down to almost nothing. never seemed to strain or bend and the safety pins are a nice piece of mind. for the price, i'm glad i bought them. August 16, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Did the job well Use it on lowering springs. These kinds you have only 3 to 4 coils you could work with not like stock springs. Compresses great and easy to use. September 27, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Product has a professional construction and very ergonometric. For passenger cars and SUV vehicles, I think the studs are too longs. should be a different version for Passengers versus Trucks vehicles. August 13, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Solid and secure design I used this model to replace my old spring compressor which had the two-pronged cast hooks at one end. One of these hooks snapped off while under compression...and the broken piece became a projectile (which fortunately caused no bodily injury or damage within the garage.) Within an hour I had this "improved" design unit with one-piece, non-forked, hooked clamp ends doing its job faultlessly. Much more secure and less likely to fail under stress. August 3, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by They did the job Used these spring compressors for my 2012 ram 4x4 when installing front coil overs and rear shocks . well worth the money and I would recommend these to any DIY June 6, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by simple and sturdy Made quick work of transferring springs to new struts. Very basic tool with little that can go wrong. Only complaint is that to get compressors 180 degrees apart around the spring, one of the tensioning nuts would inevitably end up rubbing the spring plate. Nothing severe but prevented the use of my impact wrench to adjust the tensioning nut on that side. Had to use an open end wrench and just slowed the process a bit. A bit more offset from the spring to the tensioning nut would give more flexibility for positioning. Otherwise, very effective tool that does what it's supposed to do. April 12, 2015
