Store employees are very nice and helpful. So, I tried to use pep-boy mechanic service to install struts assemblies and alignment.
But, labor charge for installing complete strut assembly is same as replacing only a strut cartridge, which require disassemble the spring which require big machine, lot of time and assemble whole thing again. Replacing complete assembly is similar to change ordinary shocks. Hopefully, labor charge be adjusted soon.

I purchased a complete assembly because I wouldn't have to buy everything separately, then disassembled the old one. Then put together with new parts. I would have had to purchase tools, like spring compressor extra to do that. I dual parts would cost almost as much as assembly, and still would have to purchase tools.

by Hawk2 Best way to do it.
Our '97 Villager has about 140,000 miles on it, and I was noticing that it had a bit of a mushy feel to the ride, but also there was a loud clunk noise when I braked, or went over a large bump. I was told that the noise was from the struts. I also considered that the bearing on the top and the spring had some wear, so I decided to replace it as a package. It was great, 5 nuts and bolts, and some clips and the old one was out. No compressing the spring or removing the top. I installed the new ones, and it is amazing how much better it rides, and the clunk is gone. If you have a vehicle with miles and years on it, replacing the strut as a unit is the only way to do it.

After not having replaced my rear struts in 5 years, I was pleasantly surprised at how wonderful my car is handling during accelerating, turns, and stopping. The complete strut kit from Pepboys was just that!! It came with new nuts and bolts needed to make the job very easy. I would recommend to all Accord drivers.

Again had previously replaced the right strut, then left one was out of stock but was available shortly after that. Got a deal ordering it online again with the discounted price. Great assembly! Great deal! Can't go wrong with Pep Boys!

2006 Mazda 3 S Touring, hatchback
This quick strut seems fine so far, about 500 miles. Easy to install, perfect fit, good price, and the car handles fine. This was far cheaper and simpler than piece-mealing the individual parts. I replaced mine because the strut bearings were shot and were groaning with every turn of the wheel. With 138k miles on the car it didn't make sense to not replace everything.
Yes, the car does sit slightly higher than it did before replacement, but a sticker on the strut says to give it some time to settle. It's already come down a bit in the past few weeks. Very pleased with these struts.
