by hwoodlive Didn't Work For Me
It's darned seldom that I have a part that works so poorly for me. I'm pretty certain mine must've been defective. I installed my gauge inline, right before the carburetor on my '58 Ford. Completely stock, no high-pressure stuff, just a mechanical fuel pump and the factory 4-barrel carb. With the car running you could actually hear the gauge's needle banging against the lower stop as the pump pushed fuel through it, so figured it would fail quickly. Sure enough, after about three hours of use, the needle actually broke off! There were also signs of fuel leakage around the front face of the gauge. Would I buy another? Nope.

This fuel pressure gauge gives you an idea of your pressure, but the needle moves so much it's hard to get an accurate reading. Mine moves between 5.5 and 7 psi. Fine if you just need to know that you're getting fuel pressure. I will be spending the extra money to get the liquid filled this time, much more accurate.
