Rated 1 out of 5 by lgko Good idea, cheap construction
All of the nuts back themselves off. You will want to add locktite or replace with locknuts. The cover had holes at stress points just after 1 year. They sent me a 4" patch which wouldn't patch a single hole, let alone the lot of them. It's now 25 months old and the cover has shredded in a 20mph wind storm.

I was hoping to get a lot more life out of the carport. It seems to be ripping on the edges where the bars are. My father purchased one the same time I did and is having the same problem. We both need replacement covers already it's been almost 2 years.

Purchased Oct. 2014, did not assemble until Aug. 2015, currently the cover is tearing and splitting at each pole. Structure tubing is sound and holds up well. I have a request in for a replacement and / or upgrade cover, the price is what you get? I wish it would have lasted longer.

I'm on my 3rd cover in 4.5 yrs of owning this canopy. Best part is, not, you cant just buy a new top, it has to be the entire assembly.

This auto shelter is great as far as the size and not so good in other areas. In the summer, the tarps make it too hot to do anything while the sun is out. I asked the sales rep who sold me this unit if it could make it through a Chicago winter and he told me yes. This shelter can barely make it through strong winds let alone a winter. Not happy at all about this purchase!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Satherton Summer use only and not for high winds
We just set this up and it took my husband about 8 hours with my help. When we started with the tarp we noticed that the back door had a hole already patched!! So basically they jus have torn a hole in the tarp while making it and just patched it.
After a week of this being up we are questioning if we should leave it up during the winter but since we paid about 330 and took us all day we decided not to put anything of value in it and when it flies away (because it looks like it's going to) we will let it go and NEVER buy it again.
Waste of money unless you just need it for a dew months during the summer or if you don't mind worrying every time a strong wind comes up.

Rated 1 out of 5 by BillBB Poor quality cover. Manufacturer was NOT helpful!
We purchase one of these instant garages in May of 2016. Cover torn in 2 places within 2 months. Manufacturer offers cover upgrades but, not for this model. Mfr's. website is deceptive with available cover upgrades. Mfr's. customer service was NOT helpful. Overall, a very disappointing purchase.

After erecting this shelter, it tore at the support bends where they transition from verticle to the upward slant. This was on 3 of the bends. I used the factory instructions for warranty service by filling out the online form and submitting the required pictures. The cover was replaced with a new one without charge. I anticipate I'll get at the most 2 years of service with this product since the cover is so vunerable to sun and wind damage. Also, erecting the structure is a little challenging.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Kenn Horrible waste of money...
From parts being labeled wrong, and having to figure it out on my own, to the first cover lasting only 6 months and the replacement cover not including the end pieces, now they are trash after a little over a year, and the only way to replace them to to buy a complete cover set.. The whole building is twisted from wind, and I live in Ga so no snow load. This is just a cheap, get you out of a pinch shelter. Would not recommend it to an enemy, certainly not a friend... Save your money and buy a real wood building..

Rated 5 out of 5 by cbhsfilled Pleased with Carport and easabilty in setup alone
I have friends of mine that have purchased the exact same model and it worked great for years. I just purchased mine and set it up all by myself. I had to adjust the installation process a bit to accomplish the task, but it worked out great.
I have read some of the reviews, and one friend had an issue, but found out they did not anchor it down and when a strong wind came along, the carport flipped. You have to follow the directions if you want results.
The only adjustment I would make is clearer markings on all piping as quite a few were faded (I just compared to others) and that screws were in separate labeled bags.
All-in-all I am pleased

I bought this last year, installed in Nov.2015, one winter season it couldn't withstand the snow storm , the cover ripped by the wind. During installation I notice that the cover is sewed , it only glued, which make not strong enough

Purchased one of these about 18 months ago. About 5 months ago, began to see tears / rips in the fabric where it meets the frame - upper sides of structure. Placed some duct tape to try and strengthen and stop the tears from growing. Tears continue to grow slowly and now I'm seeing a few more tiny holes. Frame has held up well.
So my car gets some rain water on it.
One year warranty is inadequate - fabric quality / strength is poor. An outdoor shelter should hold up much better than this one has. Zippered door is a good design - but I think that will come apart pretty soon. I only open it about once a week.
Construction directions were mediocre too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dave51 Exactly What I needed
I had purchased this late last year to shelter my classes car. It came on time and was easy to assemble. It is now 6 months later, and I could not be happier with the level of protection it gives, and how durable it has been throughout the winds and rain of the past winter. I would recommend this to anyone needing a fast and inexpensive storage solution.

Rated 5 out of 5 by onlytony Only lasts 2 + years in New England
After 2 years, it starts to rip a little, and has faded to almost white. I added a second one, and put it up by myself. Not much writing in the instructions, but lots of pictures. Many of the poles were not marked. I built a 2X4/ plywood floor, that cost more than the garage. I also add stuff to keep critters out. There is a good air flow, that is good for the car. I also have car covers on my cars, lots of little dead bugs land on the car. Very happy with this product, but a replacement cover cost almost as the whole thing did. Keeps my collector cars out of the elements.

Rated 5 out of 5 by kcam401 Nice shelter for the money
I bought this to protect a collector car until I start working on it next year. I put it up in early May and so far it has held up through a couple thunderstorms and some wind, but nothing major. We'll see what this winter brings! Set up was no big deal, lots of pieces, but take your time and make sure the frame is square and the cover goes on fine and will fit better after the sun hits it after a couple days. I used the "EasyHook" anchors to secure it; much easier than trying to get the supplied auger anchors in plus I wanted to use more than four. I used eight. With the online discount I paid less than $200.00 for the shelter, hope it lasts a few years!

Was definitely not quick and easy to put up. But it does protect my car. As far as wind and snow haven't gotten that yet so we'll see. Hopefully it will stand up. Looks decent in the driveway.

Fairly easy to assemble but you must have some skills to do so or have help. I did it entirely alone with no problem. Holds up well in the rain and wind. I added extra auger tiedowns on the 4 corners for the canopy and 2 tent stakes to each center post and made it real sturdy. With the 35% off coupon and free ship to store it was under $200. I highly recommend this product to any one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by 64RAB Works great for temp storage.
I assembled mine on 4' x 12' pallets to create a temp storage building rather then renting a storage space, this is cost effective while I build a shed. I used 3" lag bolts to anchor the unit to the pallets instead of the anchors supplied. Overall I am very happy with this product. If I had a Con it would be the back panel does not have zipper access like the front panel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TomTomTom Nice Shelter
I just purchased my second 10x20 Auto Shelter to replace the almost 2 year old cover on the original. It took me, alone with no help, a total of 16 hours to assemble and anchor. Overall it is great, keeping in mind it is considered a temporary shelter. After 1 year, tears began at the stress points where the ribs bend at the roof line and along the peak at the joints. Duct tape has gotten me through a second year. The fabric is the same rip-stop type as your average tarp. Wish ShelterLogic would sell a heavier duty cover for this model. I may try a UV protection coating this time as the SoCal sun is brutal on the fabric.Overall I recommend it.

Assembly is fairly straight forward. I strongly recommend laying out the parts in large work area (I used post it note labels to organize the parts and counted each part ahead of assembly - I was missing 2 key parts which Shelter Logic sent to me by courier but extended project by 3 days). Also recommend watching their short online video for tips on assembly. I built mine on a simple pressure treated 10 by 20 wood framed floor which helped with security and stability. Good family project or invite your girlfriend to help to see how compatible you are on work projects.

not as strong as the old 10x20 Auto Shelter with 2" tubes (discontinued) but a decent product. Count on replacing the cover every two years here in south Florida. My only real beef is that they never seem to have heard of washers for the nuts and bolts.
