Rated 5 out of 5 by interex2050 Simple but very effective
This is a great no frills tool, it has a specific purpose and it does it well. It is compact enough to stow in the car (glove box or tool pack),and when you need it just plug in and scan. Picked this up at the sale price ($39.99), and for that this tool is a steal.

Slow, should have more features inherent for the price. An example is code definitions - easy enough to look up online but, why?

Rated 5 out of 5 by 2001Limited Must have scan
what an awesome scan, it comes with brief but effective explanation booklet, awesome product to have, simple but effective, can't stress that enough. A must have. I got off a great price, hint buy or order online, then pay in store, it arrives almost on the same day. Ordering online is simple and always trusted to have a coupon code to use on purchase, such as 30 percent off. I used it on my 2000 Ford Explorer Limited and my wife's 2010 Ford Fusion, found the problem, thank the mechanical gods they were inexpensive fixes but none the less eliminated costly mechanics, awesome.....

Works as advertised and easy to use. Has already saved me a lot of time in trips to the shop to get my codes read. Again, worth every penny.

Rated 5 out of 5 by averageJoe excellent tool to have for a quick read.
Its size allows you to carry it just about anywhere. It's quick and easy to read the display. It will display the code and possible causes for the code. I bought it because it was relatively inexpensive and easy to
carry around. I get the code and than I Google it to get the information I need. I paid $50 at pepboys.

Rated 4 out of 5 by fuzz you get what you pay for
the best way is to keep in the glove box or any other storage space IN THE CAR... driving along and the check engine light triggers, pull over to a gas or w/e plug this little puppy in and now we've got a code and if you kept the booklet too you have the code's meaning if not the you can also use your phone to look up the code online. other than that its not really a Mechanic's choice tool. but for a cheapy it'll give you the code and thats better than not having a code to go by...

Rated 3 out of 5 by OldTinkerer Simple, basic, works as described
Needed to clear codes prior to inspection. This sis the most basic of their code readers, and it does just that - reads, displays and allows you to clear codes. Only wish that it was one with the updating capabilities.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MannyMoeJack It's cheap and works as advertised.
Got rid of a pesky intermittent check engine light. Plugged this thing in and showed a P0130 code. Bought a new O2 sensor on eBay for $16.00 and now good as new.
