I have had engine stands in the past. It folds taking up less space in my already filled garage. It assembled easily. The only down fall that I saw were the cheap slip pins that are included, but that was an easy fix that cost me about $2.

I purchased this by ordering on-line with pepboys and they have the pay in store option - i used my rewards coupon and they had a 30% sale if ordered on line so i scored big! Good stand that folds up when no in use.

I used this stand while rebuilding a Jeep inline 6, 4.0L engine. The stand was super easy to assemble. You will have to buy the long stand-to-engine bolts separately. Don't forget to grease the rotatable shaft, or it will be difficult to spin the engine over. I really liked the ability to lock the engine in place at several different angles. With 5 wheels (2 with locks) it was easy to roll the engine around the garage and even down a 2" drop to the driveway and back. It folds up nicely (and can still be rolled around on the 3 wheels) when not in use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Dman It's good
I like it It holds up engine good but the only thing I didn't like that it does not include bolts to mount it to the stand ... I had to go to a hardware store and buy grade 8 bolts ... But other than that it holds my chevy small block just fine

Rated 4 out of 5 by Pooh Sturdy, but bolt holes didn't match up for 4.6 Ford.
I had a heck of a time getting the engine on this stand. I could get three of the bolts to go in, but the last bolt would be 1/8 of an inch off every time. I spent an hour on it, and if I had some better tools available at the time, I probably would have just drilled out the steel plate a little to allow one of the arms to move further, but in the end, I loosened all the bolts as much as possible, then got the last one threaded, and slowly tightened them all. Not ideal, but it worked. I feel like this was a manufacturing defect, and other stands may not have this issue, but I was not expecting to have to deal with this, and I was glad to not have been under a time crunch.

Had been looking for an engine stand for a short period of time to handle an expensive engine. I found this item on line and wasn't sure about it until I started to put it together. It was very well made with thick steel and solid steel wheels with a heavy bolt kit. I liked it so much that I purchased a second unit for future engines!!
