Rated 1 out of 5 by Roberth888 Flawed charging port
These devices are flawed. The flip out plug to charge the unit fell back into the device the first time I went to charge. Pep Boys had ordered a new unit for me, but I must be very careful when plugging in the extension cord for charging.

Originally had purchased the 750 model, but it was defective as it wouldn't hold a charge, returned it and bought this one 900 model... it charged great, however, when I went to use it the clamps teeth are too wide, they will not grab on to the side terminals. Space is tight where the battery is at. I had to rig something up in order to be able and jump start the vehicle in question... After about 15 minutes, managed for the vehicle to turn over. Clamps don't have enough tension, they are made for top post batteries... Ended up returning it and buying the more expensive Booster PAC 900. Car had been sitting a few days and had lost the 1 minute charge it had a few days ago, hooked up this new charger and after 30 seconds of leaving it connected, it fired up... It's a keeper..

Rated 2 out of 5 by Saab95 Execllent changing pack with design problems
First, the battery pack holds a change great. Second, it has more than enough pop to jump a car, repeatedly. Third, the charging plug on the back of the pack is flimsy, breaks off and falls into the battery pack. That's right, to charge the pack itself you have to turn a cheap plug 90-degrees and connect it to an extension cord-- Peak doesn't even give you 6 inches of retractable cord. In practice this meant holding an awl to the cheesy plug so it didn't fall inside the pack and sticking a grounding adapter to the Peak plug then taping it to the outside of the pack.
Once charged, I used it five times without the charge level dropping below 85%

Thought this product was going to be perfect for my fiancé to have as a just in case since her sister just recently had a drained battery and nobody would help her to give her a jump. First off the plug in the back to charge the unit slid back into the actual unit. After finding some tweezers to pull it out and charge it, the minute I unplugged it to put in her trunk, the charge display ticked down to 88 by the time I got to her car (which is no more that 100 feet from the door). Everything else was good but to break before even getting to charge it really disappointed me. I don't know who I am more disappointed at, Pep Boys for carrying such a shoddy product or Peak Performance for making it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hank1 Works as advertised
I purchased this item for it's higher cranking amps, it was to replace a 2 year old 700 amp that is still working fine. The older one has more features, including a 200 watt inverter that I rarely use. After receiving it I charged it overnight and tried the air pump which seems to work fine although I have not actually had a need to use it yet. It has sat unused for 3 weeks and still shows a 97% charge. Hopefully it will last for years to come, the battery is non replaceable so at the end of it's service life it will have to be discarded. So far I have had excellent results with Peak products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rayban Great Tool
bought it for the boat - I have two batteries and when I store at the dock, I don't have trickle charging capabilities, I have a backup for start the boat. Charging circuit is poor, with a swing out 2 blade male plug - very easy to damage - could have done a better design job but I think the newer models have a different charging application
