Rated 1 out of 5 by daBurgh6 Received a bad set
40,000 miles ago I was getting misfires so I replaced the factory installed wires with one of these sets. That fixed the problem. A couple of weeks ago I started getting misfires on cylinder 4. It was time to replace the spark plugs so I did that plus installed a new set of these Prostart wires. The misfire problem only got worse, now involving cylinders 2 & 4. So I replaced my ignition coil (a single unit in my car) but 2 & 4 were still misfiring. Only after removing the new Prostart wires and installing an NGK set did the problem get corrected. Now my car runs smoothly (2008 Subaru Outback 2.5i).

Rated 3 out of 5 by Mark326 Wire Lengths & Boot Not Perfect Fit
I bought these wires for a 2001 Honda Accord 4cyl. The wires work okay, but the lengths don't quite match the OEM and are inconsistent, giving them a sloppy look and making it difficult to route them in the same way as the originals. The boots at the plug end don't fit in/over the top of the spark plug well very well, and they tended to "pop out" because of that. After awhile they seemed to stay in place. The wires at the distributor end are straight even though the boots are 90 degree angle. This makes it difficult to get them in place.

Rated 2 out of 5 by brutus the product is flawed
this is the second set in a year. the only reason that i used them again is because they were a free replacement for the bad set that i originally bought. the connectors on the end broke off at the spark plug causing a very simple job to become very difficult. the lube that comes with the set was used but the crimping was very poor.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Yardboy decent set of wires for $30
These wires fit good on the spark plugs and the distributor cap, no misfires from the engine so far. They look like your average set of $30 dollar wires. If you want real good quality wires then buy OEM from dealer. I don't want to spend $100 so I'll take a chance on these. I'm only expecting to get 30,000 miles of service out of these. These have lifetime warranty.

Ignition system improved significantly with installation. Caution with ordering online: you will have to wait for main warehouse to ship to your store regardless if in stock at your store. An inventory guru for "Pep Boys" needs to examine what's best for customer service efficiencies when online purchases are maded.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jeff Wire Set?
How can this be called an Ignition Wire "Set" with only 2 wires? That's a bit misleading. The connotation of the word "Set" implies a normal standard count, normally 4 to 6. There aren't many cars running out there on 2 cylinders.
Perhaps the name should be, "A couple of spare ignition wires".
