Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Dayco hose I bought this Dayco Part # 80400 heater hose for 1998 Kia Sportage, thermostat housing to heater pipe. Exact fit, no trimming needed even though it's a bit longer than the OEM. I've used Dayco hoses on several different cars, all with great results. The longest ones have been in service about 7 years and about 100,000 miles. June 3, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Dayco Molded Heater Hose Part # 80394, heater outlet Replaced all coolant hoses on 2001 Chevy Metro. This one is not the exact molded fit as OEM and requires a bit of bending and cutting down to size, but still fits nicely. Dayco hoses seem to be stronger than OEM, with internal fabric reinforcement woven tighter than OEM. (P.S. This same review was wrongly published for another Dayco hose which I didn't buy, part no. 80401, because a lot of those hoses are listed simply as "Dayco Molded Heater Hose" w/o part numbers.) Rated 5 out of 5 by great product! These hoses fit to a tee. Excellent design and easy application. July 2, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Absolutely no idea what this hose was intended for I purchased all of the hoses recommended for my Ford Taurus DOHC. This hose did not match anything I took off so I have no idea what was intended. I ended up re-gifting it to my brother-in-law for his Honda Prelude. Maybe he can use it, but I would suspect that he'll re-gift it to someone else. April 19, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Satisfactory replacement for the OEM hose Similar enough to the OEM hose for this application. Had to reroute the hose slighty in order to make it reach on my Ford Taurus DOHC, April 19, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not a good fit Not a good fit. Used dealer original part. Expensive but perfect fit. December 1, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by It was a perfect fit It was identical to the original so it made it very easy to replace. November 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by covers 1 and 1/2 hoses This is the hose that goes from the heater outlet to the water pump. It is longer than needed and once you shorten it, you have more than plenty to place it on the heater inlet to the metal connector for the other end of the heater hose set. So when you also get the hose that goes from the top of the intake manifold toward the metal connector, you're short a section of 5/8" hose. The extra from this hose will cover that shortfall. I wonder what the purpose of that heater hose connector is for. (countless purposes I'm sure) So if I had known this right from the beginning, I wouldn't have needed to go back to the parts store to get a section of 5/8" heater hose for nothing... oh well, you learn from doing.. Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect Fit I purchased this heater hose assembly for a 2006 Suburban 1500. I started to get a leak in the original at the T adapter. Thinking I could just get that single part I quickly realized it was a full kit. Not sure why there are no clamps with this kit. Also the longer hose connects into the heater line into the firewall of the car I re-used mine, but you may need to purchase that adapter also. So pick one of those up and a metal clamp to connect that end. November 6, 2014
