by MoonlightEngineering OEM Style, Excellent Quality
Really, no difference between this fuel filter and the OEM filter except, of course, the Purolator brand has a lower cost. This is important due to the fact I change the primary fuel filter on this diesel engine on a quarterly basis. Additionally, the filter body is a clear, rather than opaque, and therefore it is much easier to see if there are contaminants in the fuel.

Rated 1 out of 5 by winmotors terrible fitment
This fuel filter was a a 1997 toyota camry. Don't waste your time buying this. It does not fit. The thread does not screw in. Spent over an hour trying. I gave up and bought oem toyota. Also I bought another fuel filter for a 98 rav4.......same issue. I hope Fram reads this review and solves the issue.

This fuel filter worked exactly as should. I replaced my filter due to changing the fuel pump. The connections/ clips/hoses on this looked higher quality then my OEM removed part. Great price !

I change my fuel filter every year for maximum performance and mileage. Purolator is my choice. It's easy to change and I can tell a difference on my mpg. I have over 225,000 miles and still going.

Rated 3 out of 5 by kevinskus part quality V good but fit not great
for my V70 VOLVO: part quality looks as good as the original, just a little less longer body (therefore volume is less.) the length is still the same. only problem is the neck where the mounting clamp holds it is a little too thick & i had to put the clamp on the filter off of the vehicle to pre-bend it & then had to put alot of force onto the small length screw to get it into the hole due to the new bend of the mounting clamp. i don't see any other brands without this neck (one more purolator looks similar) or I'd get another brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KHaygoodMD Easy direct replacement
Easy filter change, good satisfaction for little time and money. I raised the passenger side of the car ('99 Volvo V70) with a floor jack (and jack stands for safety -- never stick your head under a car that's only on a jack!! -- put boards, an old wheel, anything there to keep it from smacking you when the jack fails -- think ATM machine in Breaking Bad).
Fuel filter easily accessible, fittings slid off by pressing back with a large flat-head screwdriver, no special fuel-fitting-releasing tools needed. I expected a struggle, but it was easy.
I try to avoid vice-grips on fuel lines to pinch them off while loose, but a smooth flat-surfaced clamp or vice-grip is ok on flexible lines in good condition (if you damage them that way, they probably needed to be replaced anyway, but better just to let them drip than cause an injury). A tray under the area to catch the gas works best. It doesn't leak a lot, and does NOT drain your gas tank (the fear you'll have when you take the first hose off).
Remember the old filter's full of fuel as well. You'll still forget and soak something with gas when you turn it on end.
Loosen one clamping bolt holding the old filter till you can wiggle it, take fuel lines off the ends, old filter out (have to push a few hoses around a little to have room to slide it forward out of its bracket, but not difficult), new filter in (correct direction), hoses slide back on (make sure they slide on the fittings as far as they did on the old filter), tighten filter clamp.
Dry off the fuel lines where they go on the filter, to easily tell if they leak. Then start car and CHECK for any leaks before you assume you're done. If you've already lowered the car, just stick your cell phone under it and take a few pictures until you get a decent shot of each connection to see there's no obvious new drop of fuel there. Then text picture to someone nice enough to pretend they're proud of you.
Pep Boys had same or better price (among 3 other competitors near me) and exact part in stock. I actually ordered it online to be sure of getting discount, then went right to the store and got it. Not perfect, but reasonably smooth transaction.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DCguy Fuel filter replacement for Ford Focus
This is the Purolator replacement fuel filter for my Ford Focus. It fits securely and replaces the Motorcraft equivalent replacement part. Service interval recommendations in my auto manual say to replace it after 50,000 miles.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Yardboy good gas filter
you really can't see inside the filter to see how dirty it is, but I had a hesitation problem and change the gas filter and the engine hesitation went away so I credit the gas filter, I now change it yearly along with the air filter.
