I just completed replacing four brake rotors, ceramic brake pads, spark plugs, and wires. Also installed rear shocks and front strut kits. The kit made a job that an 83 year old could consider. It was so easy and worked so well that I replaced the units by my self with my wife starting the nuts on the new struts will I held them in place. I then had Pep Boys do a front end alignment. I have just driven over 1000 miles to Florida and had no problems. I have found that all of Pep Boys parts to have held up well and have been using them for years.

I was changing the recessed plugs on a Nissan 3.5 L V6. The plugs are recessed deep in the heads, so an extension needs to be used to reach the plugs. The socket worked fine when removing plugs and the rubber insert firmly grips the plugs so they were pulled out of the head without any issue. This firm grip caused a small problem when installing the plugs. The plugs are held firmly in place so getting the plugs started without cross threading was easy. But after the plugs are seated firmly when you try to remove the socket by pulling on the extension, the socket stays on the plug and the extension comes free. I was unable to reach in with needle nose pliers so I ended up removing the plug, applying dielectric grease to the porcelain insulator of the plug and not fully inserting the plug into the socket. This workaround allowed the plug to separate from the socket leaving the socket attached to the extension.

I need just one socket to pull my spark plugs out, Not a whole set. So I went to Pepboys and got just one. It worked great and I did the job right.
