Pep Boys Donates $65,000 to Toys For Tots Driven by Customer Contributions

For the third year in a row, Pep Boys, a national leading automotive service network, was a National Corporate Sponsor of Toys for Tots, the annual program run by the U.S. Marines each holiday season.

In its role as a corporate sponsor, Pep Boys pledged a $25,000 donation to Toys for Tots. Additionally, Pep Boys invited customers at nearly 1,000 locations in the United States and Puerto Rico to contribute to this year’s initiative by adding a monetary donation of $3, $5 or $10 at the time of checkout. This national effort resulted in over $40,000, which brings the total donation of more than $65,000. This donation will help Toys for Tots bring the joy of the holidays to millions of less-fortunate children across the nation.

According to the charity, there are nearly 15 million American children living at or below the poverty level. The Marine Toys for Tots Program collected and distributed 19 million toys to 7.3 million less fortunate children in this past year.
