"Pep Boys is an iconic brand, and it’s fun to be involved with companies like that." -Graham Rahal

Graham Rahal and Pep Boys

Pep Boys and IndyCar driver Graham Rahal share a love of cars that has been built through generations. Now the two are partnering.

Graham, who joined the IndyCar Series in 2008, drives for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing. The team is partly owned by his father - former Indianapolis 500 winner Bobby Rahal. Graham’s grandfather, Mike Rahal, was also a racecar driver.

Though he made his IndyCar Series debut at age 19, following nearly a decade of competitive driving that began with kart racing, Graham’s passion for cars developed much earlier. "When I was just a handful of years old I used to go out in the garage where my dad had an old Mini Cooper S, and I would just jump in that thing and pretend I was driving," Graham said.

That passion is just as strong today, which makes his partnership with Pep Boys a perfect fit.

"As a DIYer myself, someone who likes to be hands-on for everything I do with my cars, it’s a lot of fun to be involved with Pep Boys," Graham said. "We have the same beliefs and passions, whether that be working on your cars mechanically, caring for them, or modifying and tuning them with the Speed Shop."

The partnership is off to a great start, as Graham won his first two races - June 3 and 4 in the Chevrolet Dual in Detroit— days after joining with Pep Boys.
