Tires For Mercury Sable

The Sable is an offering from Mercury which is available as both a four-door sedan and station wagon. The Mercury Sable was classified as a mid-size car from 1986 to 2005, and as a full-size car from 2008 to 2009. The Sable was brought to market by Ford when they were lagging behind in the market of mid-size FWD to compete against GM. Over its 21 years in production, the Sable was a badge-engineered variant of the Ford Taurus.

When the Sable was first introduced in 1985, the launch was held in MGM Studios where the stage was set with space-age décor and strobe lights. The design of the Sable was considered futuristic, and was called “the car that came from the moon” by the press at the time. While now discontinued, the Sable is still widely seen on the roads, and if you drive one its important to keep up with your regular maintenance items to keep it in top shape for many years to come. Regular oil changes, new batteries, milestone tune-ups, and proper tires are all a part of maintaining your Mercury Sable.
