Road Hazard Warranty
Protect your tire investment.
Get The Maximum Use From Your Tires
Our tires are built to exacting standards! However, all tires are subject to failure because of impact damage, puncture, improper inflation and incorrect use. Personal injury and property damage can result from conditions such as blowouts and tread separation.
To help ensure your personal safety and extend the life of your tires, Pep Boys recommends the following tire inspection and maintenance procedures:
- Your tires require personal inspection on a regular basis.
- Check your tires regularly for proper inflation, scrapes, bulges, cuts, abrasions and impact damage that may occur during use. Don't forget to check the inside of your tires by turning the wheels outward and inspecting tread and sidewalls for hidden damage.
- Drive with caution to protect your tires!
- Be aware of road hazards and debris. Do not drive into potholes or over glass, metal, or any objects which may damage the tire through impact, scuffing, or puncture.
Trust only qualified service technicians to make tire repairs.
Tires worn below the tread wear indicators (with 2/32" -or less- of an inch remaining) cannot be repaired! Remember, even a properly repaired tire can fail if the puncture has caused internal structural damage. If in doubt, replace the tire as this damage can later cause the tire to fail.
Road Hazard Warranty
What will our Road Hazard Warranty do for you?
Pep Boys will follow its Puncture Repair Procedures to determine if your tire should be repaired, at no expense, or replaced under this coverage. While the repair cost is free, there will be a charge for re-balancing a repaired tire.
Road Hazard Warranty can save you the expense of tire replacement. If your Pep Boys tire becomes unusable due to a road hazard related mishap and cannot be repaired, we will, subject to pro-rated adjustment based upon the remaining usable tread on the tire, replace the unusable tire or give you a refund. While Pep Boys will remount the tire for free, there will be a cost for re-balancing the replacement tire.
Coverage extends to such damage as unrepairable tread punctures damage from potholes, nails, glass and jagged metal which cause cuts, snags, punctures, impact breaks, bruises and rim cuts.
Length Of Coverage
Coverage with Road Hazard Warranty extends for the full period of the mileage of the tire. This coverage is not transferable to a new owner, or if the owner mounts the tires on another vehicle.
