* An out-of-balance tire and wheel will typically create a vibration or shake that becomes progressively worse as the vehicle's speed increases. The speed at which the vibration first becomes apparent will vary depending on the size and weight of the tires and wheels, the size and weight of the vehicle, the sensitivity of the steering and suspension, and the amount of imbalance. The vibration or shake usually starts in at 40 to 50 mph and increases in intensity as the speed increases.

Road Hazard Warranty

Not even the best tire warranty will cover you for road damage. But Pep Boys Road Hazard Warranty will! If your tire is damaged, our Puncture Repair Diagnosis will determine whether or not it should be repaired. Then,

If it be can be fixed, you're covered**.
If it can't, we'll replace it at a prorated fee**.

Lifetime Balancing

With the purchase of a Pep Boys Lifetime Balance, we will re-balance an out-of-balance tire throughout the entire life of the tire.

Custom wheel installation

Pep Boys stores are equipped to install your custom wheels. Our state of the art equipment will handle rim sizes up to 24 inches and is equipped with protective coverings on all touch points to eliminate the possibility of damage.

This refers to the regular practice of switching the position of each tire on the car. Rotating tires can be beneficial for a number of reasons. It can:

Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS)

Many cars today are equipped with TPMS. If you've seen this indicator on your dashboard, it means your tire pressure may be off. Pep Boys can check it, fix any problems and even reset your system.
