Fuel Pump
Fuel pumps deliver fuel from the fuel tank to the carburetor and are rated in GPH (gallons per hour). Standard street pumps are normally in the 80 GPH range where hotter street and race engines require 110 GPH & 130 GPH.
The two types of fuel pumps are mechanical and electric. Mechanical, engine block mounted, fuel pumps are used on most street applications and electric pumps adorn most race applications.
